2025: The Evolution of Dirt Squad
Dirt Squad continues its legacy as the premier program in the region, preparing young mountain bike athletes for the rigours of competition.
This year’s program introduces a structured pathway for athlete development, serving as a stepping stone to the Vancouver Island Race Training (VIRT) project. This program is strictly for riders aged 14+.
The Spring 2025 Dirt Squad includes:
- Team orientation zoom (March 25 at 5pm)
- Five Tuesday night sessions focused on the tactical and physical demands of Enduro racing (2 hours from 4:30-6:30pm)
- Two full-day training camp-style race course pre-rides for skill refinement and tactical preparation – Mt Tzouhalem (April 19) and Hammerfest (May 3).
- Limited race support and post race debrief for the Mt. Tzouhalem Enduro (April 20) and Hammerfest Enduro (May 4)
- Summer training plan to guide athletes through the 2025 race season in optimal form
- Connect to Coach Adam in the TrainingPeaks coaching platform for a reduced onboarding fee (optional)
Dirt Squad will equip athletes with the knowledge, fitness, and skills to take on the 2025 race season with confidence.
Athletes wishing to participate must APPLY HERE and be approved into the program, prior to registration.
